Biography
Born in 1898 in Belarus in the village of Dolgiy Mokh of the Chausky district in a peasant family [1] . By nationality - Belarusian. He was educated: general - secondary, military - higher. In the old army he served as an mechanic in the aviation unit. In the Red Army - from the day of its existence, he was an engineer in aviation units. Since 1920 - a member of the CPSU (b), expelled from it in connection with his arrest in 1938.
After the Civil War, he graduated from the military school of pilots. Until 1925, he served as a pilot in the 2nd fighter squadron. From May 1925 to May 1926 - senior pilot of the 3rd fighter squadron in the city of Kiev. He fought with the Basmachi in Central Asia. Then commanded the squadron. For success in combat training he was awarded three orders (allied - the Red Banner and the Red Star, as well as the Order of the Red Banner of Labor of the Tajik SSR) [1] . Since 1932 - Head of the 7th Stalingrad Military Aviation School. Stalingrad Red Banner Proletariat [2] .
In 1935 he entered, and in 1936 he graduated from the operational department of the Air Force Academy named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky. On February 25, 1937, he headed the 2nd Red Banner Military School for Pilots named after Osoaviahim in Borisoglebsk. On the night of March 18-19, 1938 in Moscow, where Ivan Efremovich was at the training camps for the heads of aviation schools (schools), he was arrested and transferred to the prison of the city of Voronezh ( Borisoglebsk was the district center of the Voronezh region ). Both in Moscow and in Voronezh, the Theologian was subjected to intensive interrogations. Four months later, he was transferred from Voronezh to Stalingrad Prison. After 2 years and 2 months he was acquitted as innocent, reinstated in the rank of brigade commander and all government awards were returned to him. He received an appointment in Taganrog, but after 3 months received a new appointment - as the head of the Chuguev Military Flight School [3] .
In 1941, along with the school, he was evacuated to the city of Chimkent (at that time the city was part of the South Kazakhstan region, now Kazakhstan ). In 1942, Ivan Efremovich was transferred by the head of the school in Chernogork, Khakassia region, and in 1943 he was appointed deputy aviation commander in the Novosibirsk District [3] .
In 1945, Major General Aviation Theologian was transferred to Irkutsk as the commander of the district aviation. In 1950, he was appointed deputy commander of the district aviation in the Baltic Military District. In 1952 he was transferred by the head of the military department to the Kuibyshev Aviation Institute. In 1954, for health reasons, resigned. He died in February 15, 1976 and was buried in Kuibyshev, now Samara [3] .

- He had a brother - Alexei, the captain of the Russian Imperial Army, who was arrested in 1937 on charges of spying for Polish intelligence [1] .
