Geographical position
Dos Bocas is located in the south of the central part of the state, on the left bank of the Papaloapan River, approximately 174 kilometers southeast of the city of Jalapa Enriquesa , the state administrative center. The absolute height is 11 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to the data obtained during the official census of 2005, 1,131 people lived in the village (552 men and 579 women). There were 342 houses. According to the age range, the population was distributed as follows: 27.1% - residents under 18 years old, 56.8% - between 18 and 59 years old and 16.1% - aged 60 years and older. The literacy rate among residents over 15 years was 88% [2] .
According to the 2010 census, the population of Dos Bocas was 1,091 people [3] . The dynamics of the population of the village by year:
