Khor Angar ( Arabic: خور أنغار , Fr. Khor Angar ) is a city in the northern part of the Obock region in Djibouti . It is located on the west coast of the Bab el Mandeb Strait .

The city is located 90 km north of the state capital, Djibouti (298 km by road). Of the nearby settlements, Mulhul (27 km), Obok (59 km) and Rakhait (48 km, in Eritrea ) can be distinguished.
The city is served by Herkale Airport [1] , a desert strip of 7 km in the northwest.
