Biography

From a peasant family, Belarusian by nationality.

In November 1915 he was drafted into the Russian Imperial Army . He served as a private in the 240th reserve infantry regiment ( Kazan ). In July 1916 he was enrolled as a junker at the Vilnius Military School , in December he graduated from it. Since December 1916 he served in the 251st reserve infantry regiment in Moscow , after the February Revolution in 1917 he was chosen by the soldiers as the commander of this regiment . In the same 1917 he joined the RSDLP (b) . He did not participate in the fighting on the fronts of the First World War . In October 1917, at the head of the battalion, he took part in the October armed uprising in Moscow in street battles and in the capture of the Moscow Kremlin . Demobilized with the rank of ensign in February 1918.

In August 1918 he joined the Red Army , was appointed commander of the battalion of the 252nd Infantry Regiment, and was sent with him to the Eastern Front . There, for differences in battles, he was appointed commander of this regiment, and soon - chief of staff of the 1st Infantry Brigade. From December 1918 he was the commander of the 5th Infantry Brigade in the 3rd Ural Rifle Division , from February 1919 he was the chief of the operational department of the headquarters of the 30th Infantry Division , from June 1919 he was the chief of staff of the 3rd Brigade, and from December 1919 he was the commander of this brigades. Since September 1920 - commander of the 90th Infantry Brigade of the 30th Infantry Division on the Southern Front . He actively participated in the hostilities against the People’s Army KOMUCH , the troops of Admiral A.V. Kolchak and General P.N. Wrangel . For feats during the Perekop-Chongar offensive operation he was awarded the Order of the Red Banner [2] . He was sent to study in October 1921.

In 1922 he graduated from the Higher Academic Courses at the Red Army Military Academy and was appointed commander of the 30th Irkutsk Rifle Division . Since February 1923, he fought against Basmachi in Turkestan , being the commander of the 3rd Turkestan Rifle Division ( 13th Rifle Corps ) and commander of the East Bukhara Group of Forces. In January 1925 he was transferred to the Belarusian Military District as commander of the 4th Infantry Division . During her command, he also graduated from advanced training courses for senior command personnel in Moscow. From January to July 1929, he temporarily served as commander of the 16th Infantry Corps of the Belarusian Military District, then continued to command the 4th Infantry Division.

In 1930 he was transferred to Moscow and was appointed head of the training and drill department of the Main Directorate for Mechanization and Motorization of the Red Army . Since March 1931 - head of the military department of the Communist University named after Y. M. Sverdlov . Since October 1932 he served in the Military Chemical Academy of the Red Army as the leader of the operational-tactical cycle, in January 1933 he became the head of the command faculty of the Academy. November 28, 1935 he was awarded the military rank of division commander , and June 4, 1940 - Lieutenant General . At this post he met the beginning of World War II .

Member of World War II from December 12, 1941, when he was appointed commander of the 46th Rifle Division of the 52nd Army on the Volkhov Front . The division participated in the Luban offensive operation and achieved some progress, but at the same time suffered significant losses. In March 1942, he was recalled from the front and appointed temporary acting head of the Office of Chemical Repulse of the Main Military Chemical Chemical Directorate of the Red Army , from April 1943 - head of the Operational Intelligence Directorate of this Glavka.

In April 1946, Lieutenant General A.K. Okulich was dismissed.

He lived in Moscow. He died on May 13, 1961. He was buried at the Preobrazhensky cemetery in Moscow [3] .
