Tony Giorgio (real name Joseph Anthony Giorgio ; September 27, 1923 - February 1, 2012) is an American film and television actor of Italian origin [1] . Also known as a magician [2] [2] Known for his role as Bruno Tattagli in the film directed by F. Coppola in 1972 The Godfather . [3]
He also starred in Black Gunn (1972), Higher Power (1973), [1] Foxy Brown (1974), Capone (1975), Escape to Witch Mountain (1975), The Sting II (1983), The Lonely Guy (1984) ), Night Train to Terror (1985) and I am American (1992). [1] He played the role of a trader in the “The System” series in the series Mission Impossible , the third season and played a role in 'Big Julie', a production of the musical Guys and Dolls [4] .
Giorgio also gained fame as a prolific circus actor, performing with magic and card tricks . At the age of 12, he left home, joined the circus and performed at venues, including congresses and fraternal clubs, in country clubs, casinos and film studios. He was one of the first actors to perform at The Magic Castle Nightclub and won the Close-up Magician of the Year in the 1990s. In the 1960s, a network of Playboy Club hired him as an expert on gambling. Tony Giorgio gave paid lectures on various tricks and card tricks.
