The parent star is an orange dwarf of the spectral class K2V [2] .
Planet HD 204941 b has a mass of 0.266 mass of Jupiter , is an example of a gas giant [3] [2] . It is very far from the star, at a distance of 2.56 AU The eccentricity of the orbit is 0.37 [3] . The planet was discovered in 2011 by a group of astronomers working with the HARPS spectrograph by the Doppler method [3] .
