Eldon Wayne “Al” George (born February 5, 1944) is an American pilot, co-owner of the world record for flight speed.

Biography
Born February 5, 1944. In 1966 he graduated from North Dakota State University and received a master's degree from Auburn University in 1978. Participated in hostilities in Vietnam.
In 1976, Jorz and Lieutenant George T. Morgan set a speed record on a supersonic SR-71 airplane [1] . It was 2.193 miles per hour (3529.2 km / h) and is to this day unsurpassed [2] . The previous achievement belonged to Daniel Andre and Robert L. Stevens and was equal to 2070 miles per hour (3330 km / h).
Jorz is a Knight of the Legion of Honor Order and For Outstanding Service and For Honorable Service medals of the US Department of Defense. He retired in 1997 with the rank of Major General.
