Biography

Born in Moscow on October 5, 1921.

Member of the Great Patriotic War (94th Separate Communication Regiment of the 49th Army, platoon commander). In 1944 he graduated from the Kiev Military School of Communications, after which he served at the K.E. Voroshilov Scientific and Test Institute of Communications of the Red Army. Then he studied at the Leningrad Military Red Banner Academy of Communications named after S. M. Budyonny and worked at the NIIP KA named after K. E. Voroshilov.

Since 1950 - at NII-108 of Committee No. 3 under the Council of Ministers of the USSR (All-Russian Research Institute of Radar, now the State Central Scientific Research Radio Engineering Institute).

Since 1952, he worked at the plant No. 37 of the USSR Ministry of Communications Industry (from 1960 - the Research Institute No. 37, from 1966 - the Scientific Research Radio Engineering Institute ( NIRTI ), since 1970 as part of the Vympel Central Scientific and Production Association, with February 1, 1972 - Research Institute of Long-Range Radio Communications of the USSR Ministry of Radio Industry).

Junior, senior researcher, head of the laboratory, head of the research department, since 1958, deputy director for research. The last position is the chief research associate of OAO NPK NIIDAR (Research and Production Complex Scientific Research Institute of Long-Range Radio Communications).

He took part in the development and construction of the first locator of a missile defense system - a prototype of the Danube-1 continuous-wave radar complex (1954-1956) and a polygon sample of the Danube-2 detection and target designation station (1956-1958).

In the early 1960s, he directed the creation of the Danube-3 radar, and since 1974, the creation of the Krona Radio-optical recognition system for space objects. Since 1966 - chief designer of radar stations for early warning of missile defense and space monitoring systems. He was also the head of work on the “closed” topics “Interferometer” and 13Zh6E.
