Biography
Born on January 15, 1927 in Leningrad in the family of a mechanical engineer of noble origin. From 1941 to May 1942 in the besieged Leningrad he served in the Special Northern Aviation Group as an apprentice minder.
In May 1942, he was evacuated first to Moscow, then to Cherepanovo, Novosibirsk Region. In November 1943 he entered the Optical Department of the Leningrad Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics (at that time in Novosibirsk).
He graduated from LITMO in 1949 in the first graduation of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering. He worked at the Central Research Institute. A. N. Krylova is an engineer-researcher and at the same time studied at graduate school.
In March 1952 he was enlisted in the military and, after retraining at the Military Artillery Academy, was sent to the military mission of the Main Artillery Directorate (GAU) at NII-137 in Leningrad (the future NII of precision mechanics).
In May 1967 he was appointed head of the department of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of the USSR Ministry of Medium Engineering ( VNIIEF , Arzamas-16 ). Until 1995, he worked at this institute, deputy chief designer, head of the department of precision mechanics, and since 1990, chief research assistant.
Since 1995, he lived in St. Petersburg.
Candidate of Technical Sciences (1966). Doctor of Technical Sciences (1978). Professor, specialty "Elements and devices of computer technology and control systems" (1984). Author and co-author of more than 50 inventions.
Author of memoirs and local history books “Memoirs from the life of an engineer”, “Rod Priemskikh and his time”, “In memory of Imperial Russia”, “Roads of the old professor”.
He died on December 31, 2017.
Ranks and Awards
Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the RSFSR (1991), laureate of the USSR State Prize (1990). He was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Leningrad . "
