Zhou Chunxiu ( Chinese ex. 周春秀 , pinyin : Zhōu Chūnxiù , November 15, 1978) - Chinese athlete, marathon runner, Olympic medalist, champion of the Asian Games.

Biography

She was born in 1978 in Shetsi County, Nanyang County, Henan Province. Already at the age of 11 she entered the county team, in 1996 she graduated from a sports school in the district center in Nanyang and became a professional sports worker. In 2001, she moved to Jiangsu Province, and first entered the national team of Jiangsu, and then the national team.

In 2004, she took part in the Athens Olympics , but became only the 33rd there. In 2005, she took part in the World Championships in Helsinki, and took 5th place there. In 2006 she became the champion of the Asian Games. In 2007, she won the silver medal at the Osaka World Championships. In 2008, she won the bronze medal of the Beijing Olympic Games . In 2010, she again became the champion of the Asian Games.
