Biography
Born in Moscow on September 18, 1922. In 1940 he graduated from high school with a gold medal, was drafted into the army and sent to study at the radio faculty of the 1st Moscow Military School of Communications. After early release (in connection with the outbreak of war) he served as a radio mechanic in a fighter aviation regiment.
From 1943 to 1950, he studied first at the preparatory course, then at the Faculty of Electrical Special Equipment (Radio Faculty) of the Air Force Engineering Academy named after Professor N. E. Zhukovsky. After graduating from the academy (with honors) he taught at the Riga Military School for some time.
In January 1951 he was sent to KB-1 (the future of NPO Almaz ). He worked as an engineer, lead engineer, deputy (since 1956), first deputy chief designer, head of department. He participated in the development of the S-25 , S-50, S-175, S-200 anti-aircraft systems. In 1983, with the rank of colonel, he was dismissed from military service by age, after which he continued to work at the Almaz NGO.
Since 1996 - retired.
He died on September 2, 2005 in Moscow.
Rewards
Laureate of the USSR State Prize (1970). He was awarded the orders of Lenin, the Red Star (twice), the Red Banner of Labor, medals, including "For the Victory over Germany . "
