The Ohio Valley Conference ( Ohio Valley Conference ) is a conference in the first division of US student sports, founded in 1948 . The headquarters of the conference is in Brentwood , Tennessee . Conference participants compete in the NCAA First Division, and American football teams in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), formerly known as Division I-AA. Currently, the conference includes 12 universities located in the Midwest and South of the USA .
