Visaginas [1] is a lake in eastern Lithuania , in the southwestern part of the city of Visaginas .

The lochbin of the lake is of glacial origin. Length from north to south is 2.04 km, width is up to 1.64 km. The depth of the lake is 6.5 m. It lies at an altitude of 149.1 meters above sea level [1] . The coastline is winding, especially in the south and west. The shores are low, mostly dry. The lake has 2 islands in the north-west of the water area of 0.27 ha and 0.03 ha [2] .
Lake Visaginas is surrounded on all sides by the forests of Sausashilis, Lapushishke, Gaide. Two streams flow into the lake ( Paklevé and the nameless river), and in the southeast flows the Visaginas stream, which flows into the tributary of the Druksiai Lake Gulbine.
The north shore of the lake is a popular holiday destination for Visaginas with the central Visaginas Stadium, a leisure park and beaches. On the south coast lies the Village of Peace [2] .
The name of the lake comes from the words “visi ginas” (all are protected) [2] .
