Career
Danuello is a graduate of the small club Marilia, who, with the help of Luis, won the important Brazilian youth tournament, Tacha São Paulo. Then the transfer to the Palmeiras team took place, and from there went on loan to Ponte Preto . Meanwhile, overseas in Italy, the 1980/81 Series A season has become a landmark since the borders were reopened for the first time in a decade. This allowed Italian clubs to acquire players from foreign football federations. The ban was imposed in 1966 due to the unsuccessful performance of the Italian team at the World Cup . Pistoiese , in turn, turned its attention to the Brazilian market by sending coach Giuseppe Malawazi to the South American country. It is noteworthy that initially, the coach’s goal was Palmeiras striker Palinho, but on the occasion of the São Paulo championship match between the Ponte Preta and the Commersial clubs, the Italian coach decided to attend this match. Malawazi during the game drew attention to the young 20-year-old Luis (Danuello) Silvio, and was impressed with his game. On June 1, Louis became a player in the Pistoiese [2] .
