Copies of the four Capitoline wolves ( rum. Сopiile a patru ale lupului de capitoli ) - a series of monuments in Romanian cities and villages.
History
In the first decades of the 20th century, the municipality of the capital of Italy , Rome and the Italian government, paying tribute to the Latin origin of the Romanian people, gave Romania four copies of the Capitoline she-wolf , which were installed in the cities of Bucharest (September 7, 1906, in honor of the 40th anniversary of the coronation of King Carol I and 1800th anniversary of the Roman conquest of Dacia ), Cluj-Napoca (September 28, 1921, in memory of the unification of Transylvania and Bukovina with Romania in 1918 ), Chisinau (1921, in memory of the unification of Bessarabia with Romania in 1918 ) and Timisoara (April 23 1926 in memory It is Latin ethnic group two peoples).
