History
In the “Oikonomic Dictionary of Altai” by L. M. Dmitrieva the date of foundation of the village is 1886, the name of the inhabitants of the village is associated with the religious holiday Pokrov Day [3] .
Despite the information published by the researcher, such a village does not appear on the lists of Siberian districts. In the List of settlements of the Tomsk province for 1893 in the Beloyarskaya and Kosikhinsky volosts there is no settlement with this name.
In the List of Populated Places of the Siberian Territory for 1926, the Pokrovka farm is listed, the foundation date is 1923, in the settlement there are 187 yards [4] .
According to the List of settlements of the Altai Territory of the local historian Yu. Bulygin , the earliest documented mention of the existence of the village of Pokrovsky (Pokrovka) in the Pervomaisky district was 1924 [5] . Confusion could occur due to the fact that in the Altai Territory there were more than a dozen villages named Pokrovka .
