- Dutch biologist Jan Swammerdam discovered red blood cells (red blood cells) by examining a frog’s blood under a microscope [1] [2]
- The English mathematician and architect Christopher Wren managed to “straighten” the cycloid , that is, calculate the length of its arch [3] .
- In the "Census Book of the House Treasury of Patriarch Nikon" for the first time Russian accounts are mentioned [4] [5] .
Publications
- Czech teacher Jan Amos Comenius published in four languages a richly illustrated school textbook, The World of Sensual Things in Pictures ( Orbis Sensualium Pictus ). The book quickly spread throughout Europe and for a long time remained the defining cognitive textbook for children [6] .
