Description
Malaysary anthrotoponym is the name of the Turkic batyr, judge, skilled diplomat of the Middle Zhuz from the Basentyian tribe of the Argyn tribe, one of the brightest fighters of the Kazakh people against the Dzungarian aggression. His name is the westernmost spur of the mountains Dzhungarsky Alatau . It stretches from east to west for about 80 km. The width of the ridge does not exceed 5 km. The relative height is up to 500 m, the absolute reaches 1100 m above sea level. This is a gentle and low ridge. Its natural zone is a semi-desert . The terrain is hilly, but the northern part is rocky, with deep gorges. The vegetation is sparse, its basis is gray wormwood. Only in gorges, where small streams run in the spring, does a shrub grow. With a narrow long tongue, the ridge protrudes into the Balkhash desert, abutting against the Ili River. Covered with gray wormwood or hodgepodge - rhubarb. The ridge and deserts surrounding it are used only as winter pastures. The climate in the Malaysary region is sharply continental. The average annual temperature is about +4.5 ° С, the coldest month (January) −7 ° С, the warmest (July) +30 ° С. The frost-free period in the air lasts 200 days, and atmospheric drought lasts about 60 days. The snow cover is shallow (10-20 cm), lasts about 50 days, is established on average on December 20, and is destroyed on February 20. The total precipitation is about 150 mm per year. Also in Malaysar there are no sources suitable for drinking, and indeed there is very little water there. In spring, streams from small springs flow along the bottom of some gorges. But in May, as a rule, they all completely dry up, and the water in them is usually brackish. With the advent of spring, the rowing season begins, several signs will tell about it, the first is that after the winter hibernation the Central Asian turtles awaken, they are called steppe in another way, and the herbaceous plant Ferula Djungarian blooms. As for the mushrooms themselves, followed by hundreds of Almaty residents in May, this is oyster mushroom or royal oyster mushroom - the most delicious mushroom among representatives of this family.
Security
The ridge is not part of the National Natural Parks and has a favorable acoustic environment (silence, melodic sounds in nature). Recommended periods of visits: April - June; August - October.
