Geography

The village is located by the river Mesa [3] [4] .

History

According to the Lists of Populated Places of the Russian Empire in 1872, the village of Anikino belonged to the 2nd camp of the Kinesham district of the Kostroma province . There were 22 yards in it , 79 men and 85 women lived [3] .

According to the 1897 census , 155 people (58 men and 97 women) lived in the village [4] .

According to the List of Populated Places of the Kostroma Province in 1907, the village belonged to the Kolshevsky volost of the Kinesham district of the Kostroma province . According to the volost government, in 1907 there were 40 peasant households and 184 inhabitants. There was a school in the village,powder plant . The main occupation of the inhabitants of Kolshevsky volost, in addition to agriculture, was the work of coopers, tar, coal miners, sawmills, workers in chemical plants [4] .

Before the municipal reform of 2010, the village was also part of the Sudislavsky rural settlement of Sudislavsky district [5] .
