International Financial Reporting Standards Committee

The International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) is a non-profit organization founded in June 1973 in London and transformed in April 2001 into the Council on International Financial Reporting Standards .

Creation History

The Committee on International Financial Reporting Standards (IASB) was established in June 1973 on the basis of agreements made by professional accounting organizations [1] :

  • Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants ,
  • Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants ,
  • Institute of Chartered Accountants of France ,
  • Institute of Auditors of Germany ,
  • Japan Institute of Certified Public Accountants ,
  • Mexican Institute of Public Accountants,
  • Dutch Institute of Registered Auditors ,
  • Union of Accountants Associations of the United Kingdom and Ireland,
  • American Institute of Certified Public Accountants .
