The International Accounting Standards Committee (IASC) is a non-profit organization founded in June 1973 in London and transformed in April 2001 into the Council on International Financial Reporting Standards .

The Committee on International Financial Reporting Standards (IASB) was established in June 1973 on the basis of agreements made by professional accounting organizations [1] :
