Ovation of the Seas is a cruise ship of Royal Caribbean International . The third ship of the Quantum class company (the first is Quantum of the Seas , the second is Anthem of the Seas ). It was commissioned on April 14, 2016.

Construction
On February 11, 2011, RCI announced that ships of a new class, then known under the code name Project Sunshine [1], would be built for it at the German shipyard Meyer Werft. October 31, 2013 RCI announced the official name of the class - Quantum [2]
On May 30, 2013, Royal Caribbean signed a contract with Meyer Werft for the construction of a third ship. September 18, 2014 construction began. The name of the ship was also announced - Ovation of the Seas. [3] On April 8, 2016, construction was completed, and on April 14, the ship arrived at RCI. [4] [5]
Flights
On May 3, 2016, the 52-day cruise from Southampton to China began. From the summer of 2016 to the spring of 2019, the ship was in Sydney. [6] From spring 2019, the ship is in Seattle, USA, making 7-day cruises to the south of Alaska. [7]
