Erenevs - Russian Tomsk merchant dynasty. Its most famous representative was businessman and philanthropist Ivan Alekseevich Erenev .

Dynasty Representatives

The ancestor of the dynasty was the tradesman, and then, from the 20s of the XIX century, the Tomsk merchant of the third guild Lavrenty Petrovich Erenev . He was married to Aksinya Fedorovna. In the marriage, children were born Alexei, Xeonofont, Jacob and Avdotya.

Alexey Lavrentievich

Alexey Lavrentievich Erenev was born in 1787. In 1840 he became a merchant of the third guild, in the same year he received a government contract for the supply of clothing for Siberian exiles and convicts. He owned a company for the manufacture and sale of lamb skins. Alexey Lavrentievich was the vowel of the Tomsk City Council. Donated money for the construction of the Trinity Cathedral. His wife's name was Paraskovya Egorovna, their children Ivan and Eugene were born.

Ivan Alekseevich

Ivan Alekseevich Erenev was born in 1827 and received a home education. He became famous more than the rest of the dynasty. He was a merchant of the second, and then the first guild, a hereditary honorary citizen. He founded the trading house “I. Erenev and the sons. " Traded products soap, tanneries and candle factories. These products were sold mainly in Tomsk itself.

Ivan Alekseevich owned leather and candle production; he owned trading shops in the Gostiny Dvor. He was the vowel of the Tomsk City Duma of two convocations (according to other sources - for thirty years), the director of the Siberian Public Bank, a member of the account committee of the Tomsk branch of the state bank, at the same time the head of the Tomsk Provincial Guardians of Prisons Committee, an honorary overseer of the economic part of the Tomsk Theological School, a member of the board of the Tomsk Society for Student Aid and a member of the Society for the Care of Primary Education, a candidate (deputy) of the mayor .

Ivan Alekseevich paid a lot of attention and funds to charity. Thanks to his efforts, male and female primary schools appeared in Zaozerye, for which the merchant even set aside his own house and then kept them for seven years. He was also the trustee of the Tomsk Alekseevsky real school and the Tomsk provincial male gymnasium. It was the headman of the Church of the Sign, another temple built itself. He stood at the origins of the appearance in Tomsk of a nunnery - John the Baptist. In total, he built three temples.

Sacrificed I. A. Erenev in favor of the sick and prisoners, to the spiritual department. For the last he was awarded the Order of St. Stanislav II degree. And the order of St. Stanislav of the IV degree went to the merchant and industrialist for his merits by the finance ministry. He also had a medal on the Vladimir tape.

The first wife of the merchant is Elizaveta Ivanovna. His second wife was the daughter of the merchant Yakov Ivanovich Petrov-Rodionov Alexander Yakovlevna. From the first marriage, the son Stepan was born, from the second - the children Aleksey, Paraskovya, Jacob, Elizabeth, Anna, Eugene, Alexandra, Ivan and Stepan. Ivan Alekseevich also took care of the little daughter of the deceased merchant I. S. Shumilov.

In 1887, when the merchant was 60 years old, he had five sons and five daughters. A large family demanded large expenses. To get the money, Erenev rented out commercial premises. The deteriorating financial situation even forced Ivan Alekseevich to leave the first merchant guild and go to the second, in which he was in the last years of his life. The staff of the tannery had to be reduced, however, this did not affect its turnover. In 1899, Ivan Alekseevich Erenev died.

There is an opinion that his well-being was shaken, first of all, due to excessive spending on charity and employer employment by public duties, and not by the practical needs of his own business. Nevertheless, I. A. Ereneev left behind a good memory in Tomsk [1] .

Ivan Ivanovich

The son of Ivan Alekseevich Ivan was born on March 26, 1871. Hereditary honorary citizen. He received secondary education, managed a trading company, sold leather. In 1901, he was a candidate for the first elders of the Exchange Committee (in Tomsk). Ivan Ivanovich was married to Maria Pavlovna Bronnikova, had three sons from her.

In April 1902, a tragedy occurred: while in a state of insanity, Ivan Ivanovich Erenev killed two of his children with a razor and wounded his wife, who defended the third. Ivan Ivanovich himself tried to shoot himself, but survived.

Under Soviet rule, he taught at the labor faculty at the flour-grinding and elevator institute. He was deprived of suffrage, arrested in 1937 [2] and shot by the NKVD . May 27, 1960 rehabilitated.

Nikolai Ivanovich

Nikolai Ivanovich (also the son of Ivan Alekseevich) was born on May 9, 1874 in Tomsk. He was a managing member of the trading house “I. Erenev and the sons. " In 1902, unable to repay the loan, Nikolai Ivanovich went to court in Tomsk and asked to declare the trading house insolvent. As a result, an administration was organized to manage the affairs of the company.

As of 1914, N. I. Erenev headed the brick factory of the merchant I. M. Nekrasov.

Memory

Proletarskaya Street in Tomsk at one time was named in honor of the Erenevs.
