Santariskes began to be built in 1976 , although initially this area was conceived as a hospital with a park . In 1976-1983, the first buildings were built in the medical town. In several stages, the southern part of Santariskes was built up with buildings of various medical institutions (National Cancer Institute, Children's Hospital Santariskes, Department of Internal Medicine) [1] [2] .
In the period from 2004 to 2011, several blocks of low-rise residential buildings were built in the northern part of Santariskes - Santariškių namai houses, Frankų namai houses, Verkiя namai houses, etc. [1]
