Biography
German Karelsky was born on July 26, 1968 in Moscow .
Education
In 1985, German entered the A. A. Raspletin Moscow College of Radio Engineering with a degree in Computer Engineering , from which he graduated in 1988.
From 1988 to 1993, German Karelsky studied at the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics with a degree in Systems Engineering.
In 2000, he received the specialty “Practical Psychologist” and the title “Master of Psychology” at the International Academy of Psychological Sciences.
In 2001, he received the degree of candidate of philosophical sciences at Moscow State University. Lomonosov .
Training
In the late 1980s, Karelsky became interested in wushu and other martial arts , which aroused interest in Herman's religious and philosophical teachings and the holistic directions of Western psychology.
In the early 1990s, German Karelsky took up rebirthing. He studied and worked at the Free Breathing Association, passed a certification program under the guidance of V. Maykov on holotropic breathing at the Training and Methodological Center "Psychotherapy" (1994).

Also in 1990, German Karelsky studied at the seminars of Stanislav Grof ( holotropic breathing ), Kirk Rector (cholodynamics), Stanley Krippner ( lucid dreaming and personal mythology), Jim Leonard (waving), Dan Brule ( rebuffing ), Michael Harner ( shamanistic practices ), Michel Oden (spiritual obstetrics), has a Reiki dedication.
Herman received a Buddhist refuge at Choki Nima Rinpoche; participated in the retreats of Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche, Patrul Rinpoche and Nyichang Rinpoche.
Since 2000, Karelsky took a three-year course of Arnold Mindell in process-oriented psychotherapy .
Professional Activities
The professional activity of Herman Karelsky, associated with transpersonal psychology , began in 1992. As the director of the Center for Psychocorrection, he organized in Moscow seminars of leading domestic and foreign psychologists.
Since 1994, Herman began to independently conduct trainings and conferences on respiratory psychotechnics. At the same time, he, together with Alexei and Tatyana Sargunasami (center "AQUA"), developed a joint training program on spiritual obstetrics and perinatal psychology . For two and a half years, German Karelsky held training seminars for professionals in this field.
In 1996, a joint team of specialists among whom were G. Karelsky, A. and T. Sargunas, D. and S. Akimovs, M. Peist and others took an active part in the creation of the holistic center “Pangea”.
German became one of those who contributed in many respects to the return of the “disgraced” Igor Charkovsky to Russia and the arrival in 1996 of the well-known specialist in alternative obstetrics Michel Auden , who gave a lecture course in Moscow and participated in the first international conference “Obstetrics of the Spirit”.
Since 1997, German Karelsky has been leading the Stalker project, which unites transpersonal psychologists, organizes conferences and training courses on integrative psychotechnologies, and carries out rehabilitation work with drug addicts.
In 2001, the rehabilitation program for drug addicts, developed by German Karelsky, Galina Labkovskaya and Irina Zingerman, and based on transpersonal psychotechnics and ancient spiritual practices, received a diploma from the All-Russian Exhibition Center and won a grant from the Moscow Government for implementation in the North-Western administrative district of the capital. This program has become the most effective program for working with drug addicts (reaching the annual remission of drug addicts was 60% compared to the usual 5-10%).
In 2006-2007, Herman was trained by the shamans of Peru . In the same years, he began to actively conduct consulting work and trainings in the USA , Great Britain and Turkey .
In 2008, Herman became a certified transpersonal psychotherapist of the EUROTAS European Register, and in 2009 he completed training with Stanislav Grof and Tev Sparks and certified as a leading holotropic breath international Grof Transpersonal Training (GTT) program.
Since 2014, German Karelsky has been President of the Russian Association of Transpersonal Psychology and Psychotherapy. Holds conferences, trainings in Russia and Latvia , conducts private consultation receptions, and also speaks on television.
In 2015, he was awarded the diploma of a corresponding member of the International Academy of Psychological Sciences and in December of the same year, Herman received advanced training in sexology .
