Gergei Šiklosi ( Hungarian. Siklósi Gergely , born September 4, 1997 ) is a Hungarian sword fencer. 2019 world champion in personal competitions, bronze medalist of the European Championship in the team sword.

Career
Speaking at the junior competitions, Gergei Šiklosi was able to establish himself. In 2016, the Hungarian won the European Championship, and also became a two-time bronze medalist of the World Junior Championship in personal epee (2016, 2017).
In 2017, Gergei joined the Universiade team and won his first medal in adult competitions, becoming the silver medalist in the team tournament.
In 2019, the Hungarian fencer made a breakthrough: at the European Championships he became the bronze medalist of the team tournament, and at the home world championships, the 21-year-old athlete, who ranked 45th in the FIE ranking, won the gold medal. On the way to the title, Gergey beat the Korean Olympic champion Pak San Yong , silver medalist of the European Championship in 2019, Italian Andrea Santarelli , and in the final he defeated the three-time European champion in the team championship of the Russian Sergei Bidu , having recouped from the account 10:13 and thereby taking revenge defeat in the final of the Universiade 2017 team tournament [2] .
