One of the strongest Bolivian chess players of the 1960-1970s.
As part of the Bolivian national team, he participated in the chess olympiads of 1960, 1972 and 1978, as well as the Pan American Team Championship in 1971.
In 1963 and 1969 represented Bolivia in zonal tournaments .
In 1968 he participated in the Pan American Championship .
