Geographical position
The city is located in the west of the governorate, in the eastern part of the Nile Delta , on the banks of the Bahr-Muweis Canal, approximately 23 kilometers northeast of Ez-Zakazik , the provincial capital. The absolute height is 14 meters above sea level [1] .
