Adolescence and youth spent in the estate of his father in the town of Lyubich-Krulevskaya [1] . He served as lieutenant in the Austro-Hungarian army in the 12th Infantry Regiment , stationed in Hungary. Then he spent most of his life in Lublin , taught there and collaborated with the newspapers Kurier Lubelski and Gazeta Lubelska. In 1876 he published the first guide to Lublin ( Polish Opis Lublina, jako przewodnik dla zwiedzających miasto i jego okolice ). Best known as the author of the book "Monograph of Lublin" ( Polish. Monografia Lublina ), detailing the history and sights of the city, the first volume "History of the City of Lublin" ( Polish. Dzieje miasta Lublina ; 1878) was published , the second volume remained unreleased - probably due to the fact that the permanent opponent of Zelinsky, Jozef Detmersky, as it is supposed, provided him with some kind of forged document, and then after the publication made by Zelinsky, he revealed the forgery and destroyed his reputation as a historian and local historian [2] .
In addition, he published historical works “The Apostleship of Saints Cyril and Methodius, or the Beginning of Christianity in Poland” ( Polish Apostolstwo św. Cyryla i Metodego oraz początki chrześcijaństwa w Polsce ; 1881) and “ August II and Aurora von Königsmark book” (1881) “ Prussian Silesia in words and drawings” ( Polish Śląsk pruski słowem i ołówkiem ; 1889), memoirs “From the Memoirs of a Soldier” ( Polish Ze wspomnień żołnierza ; 1880) and “In the South” ( Polish. Na południu ; 1884), a guide to the Warsaw cemetery Povonzki (1889) [3] .
Translated into Polish the novel by George Ebers "Serapis" (1887) [4] .
