History
The history of the magazine dates back to 1979 , when a group of Karaite youth in Warsaw published two issues of the magazine Coś (“Something”) edited by Mark Firkovich. In 1989, the name of the magazine was changed to “Awazymyz”, translated from Karaite - “Our Voice” [1] . The editor of the only issue in Warsaw that year dedicated to the poet Zakhary Abragamovich was Anna Sulimovich, and the publisher was the Karaite Religious Union of Poland. The second issue planned for publication was dedicated to the writer and poet Alexander Mardkovich [2] [3] . After a ten-year hiatus, the publication of the journal was resumed by the Polish Karaite Union in Wroclaw . In 1999-2003, Awazymyz was released in electronic version and was available to the Karaites of Poland and Lithuania. In 2004, the magazine was registered in the National Center ISSN of the National Library of Poland [4] .
Since 2004, the magazine came out in black and white with a color cover, since 2007 it has become fully color. In 2008, 2009 and 2010, three Russian-language issues of the magazine were published as an appendix. The chief editor of the application was Tatyana Mashkevich [4] .
