Content

History

Since the 1920s, in the Altai Territory, collective farms and state farms, production and technical stations, state farm departments and machine and tractor stations (MTS) were created and then abolished, new settlements appeared, including the Novy settlement World. The village dates to 1921.

According to the List of Populated Places of the Siberian District in 1926, Novy Mir was a settlement on the Chesnokovka River. The settlement was inhabited by 133 people in 28 yards, there was a school [3] .

Geography

The village is located near the Chesnokovka River (a tributary of the Ob channel) , near the Pravdinsky reservoir .

The village is located near the junction of the Novosibirsk-Barnaul-Biysk highway, the R374 Beloyarsk - Zarinsk highway. Passenger transportation is also carried out by private carriers, which allows satisfying the needs of the village residents in communication with neighboring villages, the regional center and the city of Barnaul [9] .

The nearest railway station Altai is in the city of Novoaltaysk.

Attractions

Near the village there is a monument of archeology of regional significance - a settlement of the Early Iron Age of New World 3 (Decision of the regional executive committee No. 225 of 05/21/1991). Located on the left bank of the Chesnokovka River.
