Geography

The village is located in the east of the central part of the Pskov Region, within the Bezhanitsky Upland , west of the Derevki River, at a distance of about 26 kilometers (as the crow flies) to the north of the urban-type settlement of Bezhanitsy , the administrative center of the district.

Climate

The climate is characterized as transitional between typically marine and continental with high humidity [2] .

Until 2015, the settlement was part of the now abolished Chikhachevsky parish .
