Damien Comolli ( fr. Damien Comolli ; born December 13, 1972 , Beziers , France ) - French football coach, functionary, scout, sports director of the Turkish club Fenerbahce . Club career
Comolly was born in Beziers , France , and played football on the Monaco youth team. In 1992, he switched to a coaching career and for three years he was a mentor to a team of players no older than 16 at Monaco. In this position, he managed to lead the junior team to victory in the district championship. In 1995, Comollie received a law degree, as well as a French coaching license.
In 1996, Comolly joined the London Arsenal and spent seven seasons in the team as a scout in the European region. He is credited with the “discovery” of several Arsenal players, such as Colo Toure , Emmanuel Eboue and Gael Clichy . From 2004 to 2005 he was the technical director of the French club Saint Etienne . That season, the club achieved some success, taking sixth place in the league and reaching the semifinals of the French Cup . During his time on the team, he was also responsible for the important signings of the players of the first team and established partnerships with youth and amateur clubs, at the local, national and international levels [3] .
