The village is located in the eastern part of the Bryansk region, in the zone of coniferous-deciduous forests [2] , south of the P120 highway, at a distance of about 12 kilometers (straight) to the east-south-east (ESE) from the city of Karachev , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 203 meters above sea ​​level [3] .

The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and moderately frosty winters. The annual precipitation is 500–600 mm. The average January temperature is −8.6 °, July - + 18.6 ° [4] .
