The village is located in the eastern part of the Bryansk region, in the coniferous-deciduous forest zone [2] , on the right bank of the Tson River, south of the P120 highway, at a distance of about 19 kilometers (in a straight line) south-east of the city of Karachev , the administrative center of the district . The absolute height is 220 meters above sea ​​level [3] .

The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and moderately frosty winters. Annual precipitation is 500-600 mm. The average temperature in January is −8.6 °, in July - + 18.6 ° [4] .
