Description
Lake Verovskoye is located 33 km northeast of the city of Grodno , near the village of , at an altitude of 116.5 m above sea level [ specify ] .
The surface area of the lake is 1.23 km². The length is 7.5 km, the greatest width is 400 m, and the average width is 160 m [1] . The coastline is 15.75 km [ specify ] . The maximum depth is 9.2 m. The volume of water is about 8.1 million m³, the catchment area is about 20 km² [1] .
The basin of the lake is narrow, ribbon-like. The slopes of the basin are steep, up to 10 m high, overgrown with forest [ specify ] . The shores are high, with narrow shallow water, with the exception of several bays and a low wetland area in the north. The bottom along the coasts is sandy, deeper silty-sandy and sapropelic . Overgrowing the reservoir slightly [1] .
The river Solomyanka flows through the lake. Upstream and downstream there are lakes Chizhovka and Derveniskoye (Kalnitsa), respectively [1] .
