Found in China ( Hunan , Sangzhi County, Bamaoxi Town, Mt. Tianping) [1] [2] .

Description

Small spiders, body length about 3 mm (females from 3.02 to 3.48 mm; males from 2.65 to 2.99 mm). The main color is yellowish-brown with gray and black markings. Chelicera with two setae on the front side. Formula of legs: 4123. Distribution of spines on legs: male thighs I – d2-pl4, II – d1-pl1, III – d1, IV-d1 (in females also, except II – d1-pl2); tibia I – II with several pairs of ventral spines. Male palps with one simple apophysis RTA (retro-lateral dorsal apophysis), and the genitalia of their females with a relatively long, strongly sclerotized spermatec. Ground spiders living in fallen leaves on the forest floor [2] [3] [4] [5] .

Taxonomy and etymology

The species was first described in 2016 by a group of Chinese arachnologists (Jin C., Fu L., Yin XC, Zhang F .; Hebei University, Baoding , Hebei , China ) based on materials from China. Included in the longituba -group view group. The specific name is derived from the Latin name of a similar species Otacilia microstoma [1] [2] .
