The Small Palace [2] (Petit Palais [2] , fr. Petit Palais ) is a former exhibition pavilion of the World Exhibition held in Paris in 1900. The pavilion was erected in the period from 1897 to 1900, now it houses the city Museum of Fine Arts ( fr. Musée du Petit Palais ), which includes collections of Greek, Roman and Egyptian art, objects of the Middle Ages and Renaissance , collections of books and enamels, paintings Dutch and Flemish masters of the 16th and 17th centuries, collections of furniture and tapestries of the 18th century, as well as paintings by French artists of the 19th century, including works by Delacroix and Cezanne .

Timpan with an allegory of Paris, surrounded by the muses above the entrance to the Small Palace, was created around 1900 by sculptor J.-A. Enzhalber .
