Geography
The village of Krasnoe is located in the west of the Kaliningrad region, 7 km in a straight line east of the regional center, the city of Kaliningrad , 7 km in a straight line southeast of the regional center, the city of Guryevsk .
History
The settlement belongs to the historical region of ancient Prussia named Sambia . He was part of the Germanic East Prussia .
The first mention of the village of Wulfsdorf dates from 1540. In 1542, its name was transformed into Wolfsdorf, in 1565 - in Wulffesdorp. Until 1946, the place was called Wolfsdorf.
After the Second World War, it became part of the USSR .
In 1946, Wolfsdorf was renamed the village of Krasnoe [2] .
Population
In 1910, the population of Wolfsdorf was 153 people, in 1933 - 234 people, in 1939 - 230 people.
