Victor Alexandrovich Gromyko ( Belorussian. Biography

Victor Gromyko was born on January 1, 1923 in the village of Senkovo, Mogilev region. Childhood passed in the village of Smolyany . Before the war, on June 21, 1941, he graduated from an incomplete secondary school (7 classes). During the war he was in the partisan group of Konstantin Zaslonov , later in the Smolensk partisan regiment.

He studied at the Vitebsk Art College. In 1951 he graduated from the Minsk Art College, in 1959 - the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (now the Belarusian Academy of Arts). In 1959-1997 he was a teacher at the Belarusian Academy of Arts. From 1977 to 1982, he was chairman of the board of the Union of Artists of the BSSR [2] [3] .

Creativity

He worked in easel painting in the genres of painting, landscape, portrait. One of the main themes of the artist is the Great Patriotic War . The artist’s works are in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus , the Museum of Modern Fine Art in Minsk, the Mogilev Regional Art Museum. P. Maslennikova , Tretyakov Gallery in Moscow.
