Geography
The village is located in the east of the central part of the Pskov region, within the Bezhanitskaya Upland , north of the Revka River, at a distance of about 16 kilometers (in a straight line) to the north-north-east (NNE) from the urban-type settlement Bezhanitsy , the administrative center of the region.

History
Until 2005, the settlement was part of the now abolished Shilov volost . From 2005 to 2015, it was part of the Dobryvichi volost .
