Career

Osvaldo Ramirez began his career at the Sport Boys football club. As part of the club, the striker made his debut in the 1967 Libertadores Cup and became the top scorer of the Peruvian championship in 1968. In 1970, the striker moved to Universitario , in which he won two championships in Peru. In 1972, the striker became the top scorer of the Liberatadores Cup and helped the team reach the finals, where the Argentinean Indepiente club won. In the years 1975-1977. the striker played for the Mexican club Atletico Espanyol , with whom he won the CONCACAF Champions Cup , scoring a goal in the semifinals and finals. In 1977, the striker returned to Peru, where he won two championships with the Sporting Crystal club and again became the top scorer of the championship. In 1980-1981 the striker played for the Deportivo Galicia club, with whom he won the Venezuelan Cup. He finished his career at the Sporting Crystal club.

Team

The striker first played for the Peruvian national team on April 7, 1969 against Brazil . In the qualifying tournament for the 1970 World Cup, the striker scored goals against Argentina and helped the national team reach the final tournament. At the World Cup, the striker played two matches. In 1975, Osvaldo Ramirez helped the Peru team win the America’s Cup , scoring in two games against Bolivia and in the final against Colombia
