Biography
Born December 25, 1915 in the town of Krivoy Rog in a family of workers. He received secondary education in Krivoy Rog, worked as a handyman.
At the beginning of World War II he was drafted into the Red Army - participated in battles, was wounded.
In 1949-1951 - Chairman of the Stalin collective farm of the Veselovsky village council of the Krivorozhsky district in the village of Mirolyubovka, Shirokovsky district.
In 1950-1961, he was the chairman of the collective farm named after the XXII Congress of the CPSU in the Shirokovsky district of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
During the years of the chairmanship, the head of the collective farm built new production facilities, medical and children's institutions, cultural centers, a library, a shop, and paved roads were built.
Improvement of social, domestic, educational, cultural conditions influenced labor productivity, which contributed to high yields. In 1956 and 1958, the collective farm collective took part in the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition in Moscow, participated in agricultural exhibitions in the city and the region.
By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of February 20, 1958, for special achievements in the development of agriculture and the achievement of high rates in the production of grain, sugar beets, meat, milk and other agricultural products and the introduction of the achievements of science and best practices, Vovchenko to Nikolai Vasilievich awarded the title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal "Hammer and Sickle".
He died after a serious illness on February 5, 1961 in the village of Mirolyubovka , where he was buried [1] near the office and club building.
