Murat Zaburov Kabardokov (born January 29, 1986, Nalchik, Kabardino-Balkar SSR) - Russian composer, pianist. Member of the Union of Composers of the Russian Federation ^[1] , member of the Union of Composers of St. Petersburg, People's Artist of the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic ^[2] . Author of music for films by Alexander Sokurov , Kantemir Balagov , Viktor Alferov , Ilya Uchitel, etc.

In 2005–2009, he studied at the North Caucasus State Institute of Arts in composition and piano.

In 2009, the Elbrus Publishing House (Nalchik) published a musical collection, “The Adyghe (Circassian) Melodies for Piano,” which included the arrangements of folk melodies and original author plays intended for teaching children and youth.

In 2012 he graduated from the graduate school of the St. Petersburg Conservatory. N. A. Rimsky-Korsakov specialty composition. The class of Professor G. I. Banshchikov .

Together with Marianna Teuvazhukova and Mikhail Golikov, the head of a large-scale anthology of Adyghe classical music “The Symphony of the Caucasus”. The 5-disc audio album was recorded by the Tauride Symphony Orchestra in the Lendok studio.

In 2013 he received the title of People's Artist of the CBD.

From 2010 to 2015, he worked as an accompanist at the St. Petersburg Conservatory in the classes of TV V. Novikova, N. G. Alekseev , A. I. Polishchuk.

In 2014 he composed the music for the film by Alexander Sokurov “ Francophone ”. The picture was for Murat the first work in the full-length movie.

In 2016, Murat Kabardokov together with Klever quartet performed ^[4] in a number of cities in Russia and the United States with a program from classical works, as well as original music from the album “Songs without Words”.

In 2016, he received the Certificate of Recognition from the California Ministry for a series of concerts in Sacramento with the Clover Quartet and the Certificate of Recognition from the US Congress for composing and performing with the cellist Igor Botvin in Reflections on a dream for the cello and piano in Round Top ( Texas ).

Since 2016, she has collaborated with the largest ballet festival of Russia “ Dance Open ” and the organizer of public events in St. Petersburg “Oasis” as a composer and arranger.

In 2017, the premiere of the new music ^[5] for the Dziga Vertov film “Man with a Camera”, written by Murat Kabardokov at the “Message to Man” festival commissioned by the director of the “Rock” studio Alexei Teacher, took place on Palace Square

In 2018 he wrote the music for the films “ Sea-buckthorn summer ” dir. V. Alferova, “Deep Rivers” dir. V. Bitokova, performance “Home” dir. H. Akhmadova .

In the same year, the album of author's academic music “Solo, duo, quintetto” was released.

In October 2018, the release of the soundtrack to the “Deep Rivers” was released.

In 2019, Murat Kabardokov received a jury prize. Andrei Petrov for the best music for the film (“Sea-buckthorn summer”) of the 25th Russian film festival “Literature and Cinema” ^[6] .
