Born on June 29, 1942 in the city of Shchekino, Tula Region. He graduated from the Tula Polytechnic Institute with a degree in Aircraft (1965).
From 1965 to 2009, he worked at the Splav NPO, from engineer to deputy chief designer.
Leading designer of shells and engines of multiple launch rocket systems "Hurricane" and "Tornado." Under his leadership, the Grad reactive system was modernized in terms of automation of a combat vehicle and the creation of shells with a firing range twice the standard staff and more efficient warheads. He led the development of three high-performance shells for the TOS-1 system.
The author of many inventions.
Laureate of the Lenin Prize (1988), Prize of the Government of the Russian Federation (2004). He was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor (1976) and two medals.
