Friedrich Vranitzky ( him. Friedrich Wranitzky ; May 14, 1798 , Vienna - December 11, 1839 , Dresden ) - Austrian cellist. Son of Anton Vranitzky .

He studied with Anton Kraft , who worked with his father in the court chapel of Prince Lobkowitz . He played in Vienna with family concerts with his brother, violinist Anton Vranitzky Jr., and sister, singer [1] . From 1823 he played in the orchestra of the Kärntnertor Theater , then in the Berlin Königstedt Theater. Led also teaching work, among his students was Julius Stalknecht . In the summer of 1839 he moved to Dresden, but turned out to be unemployed and made an attempt to drown himself in the Elbe . He was saved, but died the next day [2] .
