History
For the first time, the national team was convened in 2008 to qualify for the World Cup , where it lost all its matches, including its largest defeat from the Portuguese national team with a score of 3-15. Since then, the team has not gathered for 9 years.
In 2017, the Georgian national team returned to the world stage and came to Jesolo , Italy to qualify for the World Cup in the Bahamas , where they played 2 matches instead of 3 due to the refusal of Austria.
The next year she made her debut in the Euroleague . At the last stage in Warnemunde, Germany, Georgia took the last place in the group, losing to Hungary, England and Denmark.
In 2019, she plays only in the Euroleague and will miss the World Cup selection. At the stage in Nazar , she ahead of schedule took first place in the group ahead of Bulgaria, Norway and Denmark, thereby earning her place in the Promofinal ahead of schedule.
