Background and Release

The album includes 5 tracks written and produced by members of the Seventeen band. “Adore U” was selected as the lead single for the album and was performed on several music shows by the group. “Shining Diamond” was used as a pre-single on the band's reality debut show. The group states that the track listing was chosen to [1] reflect the basic concept of the Boys passion. The album has two physical versions: one with a “black” thematic photo card, and the other with a “white” thematic photo card. All copies include a CD containing songs and a poster / lyric sheet.

Single

"Adore U" is the lead single from the album. It was written by Uji, S.Coups and Cho Dongyong. [2] The Korea Herald states that ““ Adore U ”is a funky pop song about a teenager trying to orientate in puppy love.” [3] This marks the beginning of a trilogy of a group of singles Adore U, Mansae and Pretty U about a boy meeting, falling in love and inviting a girl. The track was written and produced by Uji, Bumzu and Cho Dongyong. The single clip was released on May 29, 2015. Hoshi’s choreography of the song focused on “telling stories and highlighting each member’s strengths on stage.” The single sold over 38,000 digital copies and reached number 13 on the Billboard US world chart.

Commercial Success
