Crystyle (from the English - “Crystal”) is the fifth mini-album (seventh overall) of the South Korean girl group CLC . It was released on January 17, 2017 by Cube Entertainment and distributed by CJ E&M . Hobgoblin was released as the title track. To promote the album, the band performed on several South Korean music programs, including Music Bank and Inkigayo . The video for the title track was also released on January 17.

The album was at its peak at number 10 on the Gaon album chart and number 6 on American world albums. As of February 2017, 5,769 physical copies of the album were sold.
Content
Background and Release
On December 27, 2016, CLC confirmed that they will release a new album in January, with a different concept from the existing image of the group. It was also announced that their new album is intended to show a more charismatic, hip-hop and chic look. [1] [2] On January 4, 2017, CLC released an album cover called Crystyle , which will be released on January 17, 2017. [3] On January 10, the CLC released a concept photo of Goblin. [four]
Composition
The title track for Hobgoblin is EDM - a trap song written by Hyuna , Seo Jaewoo, Big Sancho and Son Youngjin, people who previously worked on the 4minute song “Crazy”. [5] The song and its music video were released simultaneously with the album.
Commercial Success
Crystyle entered number 10 on the Gaon Album chart in the chart issue of January 15-21, 2017. In its second week, the album fell to 40. In its third week, the album rose to 28, lowering the schedule the following week. [6]
Aldom sold 3,975 physical copies, placing himself on line 30 on the Gaon album chart for January 2017. [7]
In the USA, the mini-album entered and reached the 6th line on the Billboard world albums in the week ending February 4, 2017. [8] In its second week, the album fell to number 10. <ref> World Music: Top World Albums Chart . </ ref
