Career

Most of his career spent Bigon in “ Milan ”, where for a long time was considered one of the leaders of the team. For some time, the midfielder was the captain of the Rossoneri. It was with Milan that the Bigon won the Cup Winners' Cup in 1972. After leaving the club, the footballer played for another leading club in the country - “ Lazio ”. He finished his career as a midfielder in Vicenza . [one]

Soon Alberto Bigon began his coaching activities. He began his serious independent work as a mentor in Regina . In 1989, the young specialist led the " Napoli ", where Diego Maradona shone. The specialist was not afraid to update the composition. A young Gianfranco Zola was acquired, making an excellent Argentine duet. Led by the Bigon club immediately became the champion of the country, two points ahead of “Milan”. But in the next season, after the departure of Maradona, “Napoli” abruptly surrendered their positions and the tutor left his post. In other Italian teams he failed to achieve high results. But in 1997, the coach made a “golden double” with the Swiss “ Sion ”.

In November 1999, Alberto Bigon was appointed to the post of head coach of the Greek Olympiacos . He managed to bring the team to the first place, but in April 2000, despite the leadership in the table, the Italian was dismissed and the club won the national title without him. [2] The Slovenian Interblock was the last specialist club. In August 2008, Bigon won the Super Bowl with him. However, a month later he was forced to leave his post due to health problems. [3]
