Arthur Hovhannisyan (born March 23, 1996 ) is an Armenian boxer . The champion of the European Games in 2019 in the weight category up to 49 kg. Member of the Armenian boxing team. Participant in the 2016 Summer Olympic Games .

Career
He lives in Armenia. In the ring goes in the lightest weight categories. Coaches Karen Ghazaryan, Rudik Mkrtchyan Took part in the Olympic Games in Brazil, but lost to his opponent Samuel Carmon from Spain in the first round [1] .
At the European Games in Minsk he managed to win a gold medal, in the decisive match he defeated Georgian athlete Sahil Alahverdovi . This is the first major success of the Armenian athlete in international competitions in amateur boxing.
